Pension Increase for April 2020

The Hackney Fund are pleased to announce the Pension Increase payable from 6 April 2020 is 1.7%.

The rate is confirm by the Treasury, and is measured each year using the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the 12 months to the previous September (ie. CPI rate at September 2019, to take affect April 2020).

Therefore, if your pension started on or before 21 April 2019, your pension will increase by 1.7%. If your pension started between 22 April 2019 and 21 March 2020, you will receive a proportion of the 1.7% increase. Any pensions started on or after 22 March 2020, are not due a CPI increase until April 2021.

You will receive a letter at your home address, by the end of April, confirming your new monthly pension.
